In was one such dream of one such visionary, Rev. Fr. Paul Coutinho (1903-1962), who with the help of his well wishers and benefactors laid the foundation for the primary school on 15-08-1941. From these humble beginnings the institution has grown into what it is today. 

• On 14-06-1948, the Kannada High School section was started as a day school. 
• From 11-04-1950 even a night section functioned 
• From 16-06-1958 a Tamil section was opened. 

It is evident that the main objective was to provide 'quality education' to 'weaker section of the society' who could not afford the elitist institutions. This, remains our sacred creed even today.

• Fr. Robert Fernandes - Head Master From 01-07-1972 to 15-10-1986.
• Rev. Fr.Xavier Rangel - Head Master From 16-10-86 to 31-05-1990.
•  Rev. Fr. Eddie D'Costa - Head Master From 01-06-1990 to 31-05-1992
• Rev. Fr. Philip Kutty  - Head Master From  01-06-1992 to 31-03-97

It was during the tenure of Rev. Fr. Robert Fernandes as Principal, the school grew from strength to strength. In 1977-78 he started English Medium sections. A new Primary school building was constructed and additional class rooms and Principal's office were commissioned. The school had the distinction of introducing teaching of Sanskrit as a language. 

An open air stage was constructed during 1997.
